Energy saving： 60,000 NTD electricity bills per monthNational Museum of Taiwan History BIPV System is a combination of the beauty of architecture, art, humanity, and solar power technology. With a tilt angle of 60 degree, the BIPV system consists of 1,700 pcs of 145W Double-Glass modules. The steep angle makes the construction and installation difficult. HENGS overcame all the problems and made this project a landmark in Taiwan. The system can generate about 280,000 KWH per year.
The semi-transparent quality of BIPV reflects perfectly the clouds in the sky, imitating the blue waters through which our ancestors dared hundreds of years ago. The wall consists of 1700 pieces of PV modules, including 400 pieces of ceramic silkscreen glass that spells the words NATIONAL MUSEUM OF TAIWAN HISTORY. Behind the wall, a corridor leads visitors to a museum showroom, turning the structure and its scenic surroundings into a tourist attraction.
